'Film Star' Soloist Plays With Ulster Orchestra

Classical Brit Award-winning violinist, Jack Liebeck, is back in Belfast by popular demand on Friday night, 10 months after he last played with the Ulster Orchestra.
He is also the featured soloist on the soundtrack of the big screen movie, Jane Eyre, which is currently on release in cinemas.
With the Orchestra's opening Season concert last Friday and a free 'Taster Concert' in Londonderry on Tuesday, it has been a busy week for NI's only professional symphony orchestra who perform an all-Beethoven concert at the Belfast Waterfront.
The 30-year-old soloist will play Beethoven's Violin Concerto in a programme that also includes his Pastoral Symphony.
"It is great to have Jack back," said Lydia Gamble, Head of Marketing and Development, "as he is one of the most compelling young violinists of his generation playing one of the greatest concertos written for violin.
"So if you like Beethoven or you just want to come and see a symphony orchestra in full swing, it'll be a great night."
The London-born violinist has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras and is one of the 40 soloists who will be performing with the Ulster Orchestra during its 2011-2012 Season.
Jane Eyre is a 2011 British romantic drama film directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender.
The screenplay is written by Moira Buffini based on the 1847 novel of the same name by Charlotte Brontë.
The film was released on 11 March in the United States and in early September in the British Isles.
