Loudness Specialists 'Shout Out' At IBC

As the loudness debate increases in volume year on year, two German manufacturers continue to lead the way with products to monitor and manage loudness.
Indeed loudness specialists appear to have a lot to shout about at this year's IBC with both RTW and Junger Audio showcasing new developments.
At the RTW stand you can see version 2 software for the TouchMonitor audio meter.
Meanwhile Junger Audio will showcase two new units in its latest *AP series that include its loudness management algorithm, Level Magic 2.
RTW's TouchMonitor audio meter includes, LRA, the new loudness range measurement tool. So unlike the measurement of a traditional loudness bar graph, which shows loudness over a pre-defined period, LRA gives an easy-to-read, all-in-one indicator of a programme’s dynamic range and loudness.
Equally as impressive, Junger Audio's Level Magic, intelligently manages loudness changes, artefact free and Version 2 complies with all the current broadcast audio loudness standards.
The D*AP LM2 is a two-channel audio processor that combines dynamics with loudness control and Jünger’s new Spectral Signature, the latest tool for managing a channel’s audio 'character'.
The D*AP LM4 is described as the perfect fit for broadcasters, outside broadcasters, production and post-production.The four channel digital audio processor features Level Magic 2 and incorporates AES3 I/O plus optional 3G/HD/SD-SDI or analogue I/O.
RTW will be located at Stand 8.E76 and Jünger Audio,at Stand 2.C49, during the IBC show this September in Amsterdam.
