JVC release new DV recorder

JVC have released their model BR-DV3000E DV recorder, incorporating a dual standard tape mechanism and designed to provide basic functions and facilities for the low-cost recording and transfer of images, using either standard DV or mini DV tapes.
This allows a LA-DV276PRO standard DV tape over four and a half hours of recording time. For added flexibility of use this new mechanism enables DVCAM tapes to be played back as well.
Improved tape running stability means that, if operational space is limited, the recorder can be used in the vertical position as well as horizontally.
It also provides the facility to search and FF/REW tapes at speeds up to 100x, while at the same time cuing is made faster and more accurate.
For complete versatility the recorder is compatible with both NTSC and PAL standards, with inputs/outputs that include DV/YC and composite signals.
