Phabrix Celebrates 2000 Sales

Leading manufacturer for test and measurement equipment, Phabrix, has revealed a new model to celebrate the manufacture of its 2000th Phabrix SxE.
The model is carbon fibre clad with LED back lit control surfaces giving it a furturistic style.
But in addition to its attractive appearance the Phabrix SxE functions as a combined generator, analyzer and monitor capable of testing 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI.
Following on from the 24 carat gold 1000 Phabrix SxE shown at IBC 2010, the company has continued the tradition in making each 1000 sale an instrument to remember.
The latest of Phabrix's unique instruments will be on display at Europe’s important IBC in September. But despite its eye-catching appearance Phabrix intends to make only one such example.
Bassam Asman, senior test and support engineer at Phabrix, along with apprentice Adam Bishop created the carbon fibre SxE in three days at Phabrix head quarters.
The innovative properties of carbon fiber such as high flexibility, high tensile strength, low weight, high temperature tolerance and low thermal expansion were chosen to complement the electronic innovation.
The SxE has the unique ability to measure eye and jitter physical layer properties automatically on a hand held platform. Since its release in 2009, the instrument has gained worldwide recognition and won seven technology awards.
