Case Design Expands To High Wycombe

After almost 25 years trading, a specialist flight case manufacturer are expanding their workforce and are relocating to larger premises in High Wycombe. The move will provide Case Design with the additional capacity required to meet expansion plans.
Last year, the company changed ownership through a management buyout. Consequently they are now owned by Mark Harley and Ian McAlpine, both of whom have worked for the company for over 20 years. Rob Macdermott and Glyn Williams are the incoming Investors who are actively involved in the development and management of the business.
Case Design have also announced an expansion of their range of products, while breaking into new markets. The company will shortly be announcing two additional Agencies in Continental Europe. This will build on exporting success to Germany, and other European countries, and further afield in Asia Pacific. Over the last year exports have grown over 200% and now represent a significant part of Case Design's business. In the UK the manufacturer have recently added the National Health Service and Sony Professional to their growing portfolio of customers.
The company specialise in the manufacture of high quality bespoke cases and enclosures to protect high value and sensitive items during transit, often referred to as ‘Flight Cases’. The items being protected are wide ranging from Photographic equipment for the Outside Broadcast and Film making industry through to many other vertical market sectors including Medical, Defence, Test and Measurement.
Reporting their achievements, the company highlight their creation of a protective case to house the Davis Cup, the base of which is far larger than you would imagine.
The company design to meet customer’s needs, manufacturing and fitting out each case specifically to fit the contents. Case designers pride themselves in coming up with designs that offer high levels of protection combined with space and weight efficiency - the tougher the problem the more they like it.
Originally the business specialised in high quality Aluminium Cases and built up a first class reputation. Indeed many of the original cases made over 20 years ago are still in use today, some having been refurbished to hold newer equipment, sometimes more than once.
Over the last 18 months the product range has been substantially extended to include: Astroboard Cases - Lighter than aluminium but still very strong; NCase - a very lightweight cost effective range of cases; Shock mounted, friction tilting monitor cases; Peli Cases - for whom they are an authorised Agent; Tripod spigots and plates – for mounting cases to lighting stands; Laser cut panels or enclosures; and Plastic tube cases for tripods.
Case Design now offer a broader product range and are able to meet almost every requirement. They are a successful UK manufacturer with a reputation for friendly service and outstanding quality.
The company invite you to see their new factory in High Wycombe or if you are attending the IBC Exhibition and Conference at RAI Amsterdam in September you will find Case Design's products on both the Sony and Oxygen DCT stands.
