Hybrid's Neon Generates Record Interest At NAB 2011

Hybrid, a leading manufacturer of total real-time graphics solutions, launched its new trackless virtual studio solution, Neon, at NAB 2011.
Hybrid experienced record interest at this year's NAB with over 250 visitors stopping by the stand for demos and information on Neon and on Hybrid's 3D and 2D virtual studios solutions Krypton and Helium, with full camera tracking.
Many visitors were amazed at how easily Hybrid's photo-realistic virtual sets could be generated from a tiny physical green screen and how Hybrid's intuitive virtual camera controls enabled cameras to be flown around and between different sets with a unified look and feel.
Others were impressed with Neon's price and the knowledge that it represents a future-proof investment as it is able to be upgraded at any time to a full camera tracking solution with Hybrid's industry-leading robotic heads Titanium and Silver, and robotic jib Chrome. Hybrid's camera tracking solutions are renowned for the lack of any audio or video delay, as is common with third-party tracking solutions.
Neon is in use generating virtual sets in real-time for leading broadcasters worldwide. Hybrid announced at this year's NAB that The Weather Network from Canada has selected Neon for its upgrade to a 24/7 on-air virtual studio look, broadcasting in HD. The channel will launch its new look in late May.
Hybrid also announced at the show that French 24/7 News channel BFMTV has launched an HD virtual studio solution based on Hybrid's latest release of the Krypton 3, with a new intuitive User Interface. BFMTV also upgraded their 6 PTZF camera-tracking systems to Hybrid's latest Titanium precision robotic heads.
Oliver Cohen, Hybrid CEO, said: "We are extremely pleased with the turn out and feedback from visitors at this year's NAB. We are gaining traction with our trackless Neon solution and not just from broadcasters. Companies from a wide range of sectors, often with limited studio space, are looking at Neon to answer their production requirements. Neon provides them with a great on-air look, an intuitive GUI and flexible workflow - all at an affordable price."
