5 Star Launches e-CASE

5 Star Cases, the UK's leading flightcase manufacturer has just launched a new free iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad app e-CASE.
The company has been at the forefront of case design and manufacturing for thirty years and continues to bring innovation and style to its services with e-CASE, an invaluable tool for busy individuals and companies on the road.
e-CASE is also a useful addition to 5 Star's web site quotation request facility - with the advantage that it can be used in locations where access to a PC or laptop is not available. As long as a 3G, WiFi (preferably) or an EDGE signal is present, e-CASE can be used to configure case projects any place any time.
Keith Sykes, 5 Star MD, said: "Communication is a key element in providing the constantly evolving premium service in which we pride ourselves. In a fast moving world, where time is precious, we believe that empowering our clients with greater access to all our facilities whatever their location or time zone will be another reason for them to bring business to 5 Star."
It will be particularly helpful for those on-site moments when it's realised that a special case is required, and the ball needs to start rolling immediately - right there and then!
e-CASE allows the user to browse, configure and select all of 5 Star's Case Type ranges then send the request direct to the Design and Quotations team at 5 Star. The App doesn't suggest actual specifications but is intended as a design aid for proposed case requirements.
For each Case Type, the app includes technical drawings, full descriptions, information documents and 3D generated images. In the Options sections, users select various settings for the proposed case - eg: dimensions, equipment details, colour castors, finishings etc.
Once the user has entered their personal or company contact information - email, postal address, contact numbers, etc., the details are stored for future use.
All of the case data, images and documents are downloaded from 5 Star's web server.
This method of the app's development ensures that updates to 5 Star's Case Type ranges are fully automatic and do not require an update of the App itself.
It is intended that future releases of e-CASE will include full 3D functionality.
