Compact Media Group Appoints New Finance Director

Compact Media Group has announced the appointment of former BBC Studios & Post Productions' Commercial and Finance Director Warren Newbert as Finance Director.
He will join the team on April 11.
Warren's experience working within media services companies spans more than a decade and he has a proven track record in building and growing businesses. He joins Compact from BBC Studios and Post Production Limited - a commercial subsidiary of the BBC responsible for the operation of studio facilities at BBC Television Centre and Elstree - where he was Commercial and Finance Director.
Prior to joining the BBC in 2009, Warren was CFO at Gravity Media Group, an outside broadcast company, that itself completed an MBO out of a listed plc. Warren trained with Grant Thornton and spent four years with the corporate finance practice advising a number of entrepreneurial businesses on acquisitions, disposals and fund raising.

The appointment closely follows significant successes recorded in 2010 by Compact. The company increased its Q4 collections by 11% on behalf of its clients, with nearly 20% growth year-on-year. Recent signings include Zodiak Rights, Hartswood Films, ARTE France & Kiddinx Studios.
