Input Media Bowled Over By New BBC Contract

Input Media has announced a new two-year deal with the BBC to cover the World Bowls from 2010-2012, including the 2011 World Indoor Bowls Championships taking place in January.
This annual event is perennially popular and last year generated OTS viewing figures of 4.5 million.
David Johnson, Managing Director, Input Media, said: "Input Media is delighted to be appointed as Producer for the BBC's coverage of the World Bowls Championships. This is a prestigious event with a great history and complemented by our team's expertise in sport production we're sure this will be the best Championships ever for the BBC audience."
Barbara Slater, Director, BBC Sport, said: "We are delighted that following a fully open tender process, we have appointed Input to work with us on this important event. It was a highly competitive process which demonstrated the strength of the Independent Production sector in sport in the UK. In total, thirteen companies applied for the tender, the majority of which would have done a first rate job. It was a difficult decision, but we believe Input will help us continue to provide editorial excellence whilst representing real value for money to the licence payer."
Most recently, Input Media announced their strategic alliance with Octopus Media Technology, a leading cloud-based content management and digital delivery company. This announcement was marked by a series of live football matches being streamed for Sport Five, the international rights management company and The English Football Association via www.fa.com
