Miller Camera Support Makes New Appointment
Miller Camera Support has been appointed Sean Glasson to the position of International Sales and Marketing Manager.
Based in Sydney, Glasson brings a wealth of international experience to the role, moving over from the position of General Manager of Sales for the Panavision Asia Group. Prior to his role at Panavision which included the management of four retail outlets across ANZ, Glasson ran the Kodak Entertainment Imaging group for ANZ, which was a role he moved into after a number of years spent overseas running a Wellington-based film laboratory, The Film Unit for five years before moving to Johannesburg, South Africa where he spent three years as Managing Director of Film Lab and Video Lab for the Sasanj Group.
Glasson commented: "Leading the Panavision Asia Sales operation has allowed me to apply my skills to an extensive retail environment whilst being immersed within the film and broadcast industry. In the time I've been involved in the film and broadcast industry i've seen enormous change, but the speed of change we are experiencing at present is unprecedented and it is very exciting to be a part of it with Miller."
Commenting on the appointment Grant Clementson, Miller Managing Director, stated: "We are very pleased to welcome Sean to our group, his experience will assist us in developing new market areas as well as providing valuable input into new techniques affecting the development of new products that suit the rapid changes in cameras taking place in the last few years."
Sean will be responsible for the company's sales operations including UK and US sales offices as well as in charge of developing new marketing strategies.
He said: "Miller have been designing and delivering professional fluid heads and tripods for film and television since 1954 and have always embraced the opportunity to interface with its customers whenever possible. This is the most effective way to ensure we are answering the needs of our ever-changing marketplace."
