Vinten Radamec Showcases Fusion Range At SATIS 2010

Vinten Radamec, a Vitec Group brand, is showcasing one of its leading manual and robotic camera support systems at SATIS 2010.
In action will be the Fusion FH-100 robotic and manual head combined with the Fusion FBH-175 height drive and the HD Vinten Radamec Control System (HDVRC) supported by the Osprey Elite pedestal.
Camera operators can see for themselves how production studios can benefit from a mixed robotic and manual operation set-up with the ability to cost-effectively add automation products to their existing manual equipment.
The Fusion FBH-175 is a bolt on height drive designed for use with manual pedestals that do not have a skirted base, such as the Osprey Elite. The smooth movement produced by the height drive enables on shot movement as well as high speed repositioning, which significantly increases the flexibility of studio applications.
By combining the Fusion bolt on height drive with the Fusion FH-100 robotic and manual head, the FBH-175 becomes a very affordable high-performance robotics solution. Offering this multi-functional set-up is ideal for smaller studios as it increases the flexibility of existing equipment and provides a reliable and affordable robotics solution.
The Fusion FH-100 head is the only on-shot performing manual and robotic pan and tilt head in the marketplace. Continuing the manual and robotic capabilities of the Vinten Radamec range, the Fusion head utilises the award-winning LF drag system providing familiar drag performance for manual operators. The robust mechanical design and leading edge electronics development of the FH-100 provide a perfect combination for multifunctional studios, both in flexibility and in accuracy.
To provide full multi-user control of the pedestals, heads and elevation units, the Vinten Radamec HDVRC is an easy-to-use, easy-to-configure solution that has been designed with the precision of high-definition television in mind.
The HDVRC supports SD/SDI and HD video signals and graphics capture consistent with HD signals on other broadcast equipment to enable ease-of-integration for studio operators. It controls and is compatible with all Vinten Radamec, Autocam and Fusion products.
Karen Walker, Vinten Radamec Commercial Manager, said: "SATIS provides us with the perfect platform to demonstrate the clear advantages of a mixed manual and robotics solution for studios first engaging in robotics. With over 500 Fusion heads installed in the market place today, we are confidence this range works and provides the performance users require."
Visitors to SATIS 2010 can see the Vinten Radamec robotics and manual solution in action on Stand D37.
