Next Generation Disc Publishers For IBC

A leading manufacturer of CD/DVD and Blu-ray disc publishers, Primera Technology, is presenting its new enhanced Disc Publishers at IBC in Amsterdam from September 10-14, 2010.
Located at booth H09 in hall 7, Primera's focus is on increasing the disc distribution workflow and protecting digital video content.
Two significant speed enhancements have been made to Primera's Blu-ray Disc Publishers Blu-ray recordable drives have been upgraded from 8x to 12x burn speeds and new high-speed eSATA interface replaces USB 2.0.
All Primera Blu-ray Disc Publishers are now shipping with 12x drives and eSATA interfaces. Each machine ships with the appropriate eSATA cable(s) and a PCIe eSATA adapter card. Some recent PCs and notebook computers also have one or more integrated eSATA jacks.
With almost six times the effective data transfer rate of USB 2.0, eSATA allows Primera's Blu-ray Disc Publishers to burn Blu-ray Disc media at full 12x speeds.

Four versions of the popular Disc Publisher Series are now available with 12x Blu-ray Disc recordable drives and eSATA interfaces.
All are capable of burning and direct-to-disc full-color printing onto CD, DVD and BD recordable media.
To protect video content disc already while being produced with the Disc Publishers Primera offers PTProtect, a copy protection software providing a reliable yet effective anti-rip solution for protecting DVD video without adding extra steps to existing workflow processes.
PTProtect software is applied to the DVD image just before burning.
When content is burned to a disc it is encapsulated to prevent common ripping programs from having access to it.
The content on the DVD is not modified in any way and the copy control encapsulation resides in areas of the discs not read by DVD players, so the play-back quality remains unaffected.
PTProtect copy controlled discs have full playability designed to match the same playability levels in DVD players as unprotected DVDs.
In essence, PTProtected discs are designed to provide effective 'speed-bump' protection to combat unauthorized casual copying.
