Sky Lives 'Snuffed Out'

The Sky Real Lives portfolio of channels has been closed and the budget used for Sky1 and Sky2 instead.
Both Sky Real Lives and Sky Real Lives 2 ceased broadcasting on the digital satellite platform last week with Sky Real Lives HD and Sky Real Lives +1 also shut down.
They were to replace Sky Travel - Sky Real Lives and produced a range of real-life programmes aimed at women in the 35 to 54-age range.
But, allocating the programming budget to the main Sky1 and Sky2 channels is a better option now: "By focusing content investment on those channels which offer greater reach and exposure, we believe we can better meet customer demands," said Head of Sky Real Lives Barbara Gibbon.
