GTC Course To Highlight DITs And DFTs

The organisation representing cameramen is running a specialised training seminar on digital imaging.
The Guild of Television Cameramen (GTC) - which has mainly freelance cameramen as members - is inviting participants to its workshop, 'Keeping Track of the Data'.
It will examine the role of the digital imaging technician (DIT) and how they works in collaboration with a cinematographer on work flow, systematization, signal integrity and image manipulation, to achieve the highest image quality and creative goals of cinematography in the digital realm.
The course - at Pinewood - will show how this applies to the world of TV, and especially P2, and will be run along with Dan Mulligan of Rogue Element Films.
A spokesman for the Guild said: "The GTC is grateful to sponsors Panasonic for hosting this workshop at their fantastic new facility the P2 Experience Centre at Pinewood Studios," noting that it takes place on 28 August with booing available on: www.eventelephant.com/gtc-data
