On-Line Animal Agency Goes Live

The world's first online animal agency for performing pets went live this week as TV producers launch a global search for talented animals.
The new project went public for the first time when independent production company VSI Enterprises switched on MyTVPetStar.com - the beta version of a database that aims to become the industry's one stop shop for animals working in the filming business.
VSI Enteprises have set up a joint venture with animal agency My TV Pet Star that centres around the building of a free to view database designed for use by everyone from producers, directors, casting agents and advertising agents to even organisers, photographers, individual animal wranglers and co-ordinators .
To promote the launch the My TV Pet Star animal agency are staging XFactor style auditions at Frimley Park Lodge in Surrey on Sunday, August 15. The auditions will be televised by the producers`of a Sky One documentary series and Web TV Channel WildThingTV.
Animal trainer Trevor Smith, who will be one of the celebrity judges said: "To have an online database that includes photographs and details of every animal available to work in the filming business will be absolutely amazing.
"There has already been a lot of interest from the public and I'm looking forward to seeing what new talent comes forward."
The project manager is media entrepreneur John Gubba, Managing Director of VSI Enterprises who said: "The search for new talent is never-ending and it's not just for filming. In today's market the demand is growing for stills shoots, parties, even personal appearances. And if your pet or animal has a passport there are no boundaries.
"We are looking for all kind of birds and animals from domestic to exotic, trick or no trick. So long as your pet can be controlled on set there is the potential for a successful career with My TV Pet Star.
"We'll be featuring the best acts on WildThingTV and the aim is to produce a broadcast show featuring performing pets that can emulate the success Simon Cowell has had with the X-Factor."
