WRN Creates Media Village In Vauxhall

An international broadcast services company are launching a new Vauxhall-based media village.
The village aims to bring together a host of like-minded broadcast companies, creating a culture for increased creativity as well as cost-efficient studio and office space.
Having recently acquired the three storey building adjacent to its Vauxhall Media Centre base, WRN Broadcast also announced that inspirational entertainment broadcaster OHTV will be one of the first companies to take advantage of the media village offering, joining Jazz FM which has been resident in WRN Broadcast’s building since April 2009.
David Treadway, Managing Director, WRN Broadcast, said: "The vision is for complimentary companies to work with each other, developing a creative community around the media hub in south London. The new media village offers clients flexible facilities, lower costs and easy access to central London. We're currently talking to potential clients and hope to create a media hub that could eventually rival the likes of Soho or Shoreditch. Our message is simple: Come to Vauxhall."
Foundation client OHTV has a new TV studio set up with lighting and gantries, gallery and green room purpose-built by WRN Broadcast. Whilst it is for the use of OHTV primarily, the space is also available to other companies during downtime. WRN Broadcast is also providing OHTV with capacity on the Eurobird satellite at 28.5˚E for broadcast on Sky, as well as office space.

WRN Broadcast aims to attract further television and radio broadcasters, in addition to other creative and digital companies, which will be able to take advantage of the facility’s range of services. These include play-out, content management and file delivery, satellite and fibre distribution, VOD, IPTV and mobile solutions, data centre services and channel management.
