New Irish Language News Service Goes Live

A new Irish language news service has launched online this week called Nuacht24. The multimedia website went live on Monday 19th April with video news and feature reports updated daily.
Nuacht24.com will provide stories from throughout Northern Ireland and will report on local, national and international current affairs, business and sport. Original video features, funded by the Irish Language Broadcast Fund (ILBF), will also cover the arts, lifestyle and Irish language-related events and festivals.
"The number of people accessing news and visual content online continues to grow and now Nuacht24 will be able to serve the increasingly vibrant online Irish language community. Irish speakers and learners will be able to consume news and issues of interest to them in their own language, from anywhere and at anytime," said Tomaí Ó Conghaile, Nuacht24.
The Nuacht24 team is comprised of Tomaí Ó Conghaile (Editor of nós; Presenter on Imeall Geal on BBC 2; former Presenter of Blas on BBC Radio Ulster), Eoghan Ó Néill (Founding Editor of Lá, Nuacht24; Broadcaster with Raidió Fáilte and former BBC Radio Ulster Presenter) and Milene Fegan (Former Irish Language Presenter and Producer with NVTV).
