Charlie Parsons Backs NERD

A new indie TV production company is the first to be backed by boutique media investment company Charlie Parsons Creative, which was set up by the creator of the phenomenally successful Survivor.
New Entertainment Research & Design (NERD) develops and produces superlative scripted and non-scripted entertainment for broadcasters and distributors.
Former Tiger Aspect Executive Producer, Jago Lee and John Farrar, Broadcast Hotshot and Former Head of Development for Raw Television, announced earlier this month that they were founding independent production company NERD.
Double Emmy award winning producer, Charlie Parsons will also act as Chairman of the company. He commented: "I was immediately very excited by some of the ideas on their slate. You’ll be hearing a lot more from these guys in the future…".

Parsons was co-founder of one of television’s most influential production companies Planet 24. With Bob Geldof and Waheed Alli, he created and produced hundreds of groundbreaking TV programmes including The Big Breakfast and The Word.
He brought the first reality show to television screens with Survivor, which is shown in over 20 editions around the world and its 18th series has just aired on CBS in America with Charlie as its Executive Producer. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Charlie Parsons Creative, a personal private investment company specialising in developing ideas and people in Media and Entertainment.
