Pact And Adobe Launch UK Digital Showcase
The trade body for independent producers and Adobe Systems are set to tour the UK with their Digital Showcase ‘Behind the Screens’ series, which will highlight some of the best new digital, innovative and technological capabilities from the UK digital media industry.
Kicking off in London on the 12th March, the seven-city tour will feature indepth looks at the latest works from award-winning Pact members and networking opportunities that will provide a forum to encourage new ideas, productions and partnerships.
Producers already signed up to showcase include Maverick TV, with Embarrassing Illnesses, Modern Toss with Chaos Laboratories and Preloaded with 1066.
Pact members include many of the UK’s leading multi-media companies who are some of the key suppliers to the BBC, Channel 4 and the public sector, as well as creating content in partnership with companies such as MSN, Bebo and 02. At the digital world’s equivalent to the Oscars, the International Digital Emmy Awards, Pact members won two out of three awards this year, for Britain from Above and Battlefront.
Nick Underhill, Senior Policy Executive for Digital at Pact, said: "This event gives anyone involved in digital content the opportunity to see some of the leading lights of the industry, and give an exclusive, behind the scenes look at how this great content is being made."
Simon Williams, Senior Business Development Manager, Dynamic Media at Adobe, commented: "The UK digital content industry continually pushes the boundaries of what is possible, both creatively and technically. By working with Pact we intend to extend our support to UK content producers, and continue to help them lead the field with award-winning projects."
The Digital Showcasing series will also visit Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol and Belfast. For further details see the events section of the Pact website: www.pact.co.uk
