PACT and Websters to present conference on film finance

Websters Communications and Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television (PACT) are to present a one-day conference on finance for the film industry and benefits for the investor.
The event will take place on Wednesday October 9 2002 at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly, London W19 9LN.
The conference will address the interests and needs of both the film industry and those who will benefit from investing in film production in one way or another. Current developments indicate that a range of new financial products will shortly be available and delegates will benefit from the up-to-date information provided. The conference will prove of particular interest to private asset managers, independent financial advisers, accountancy and legal professionals as well as producers and representatives of film production companies.
The objectives of the conference will be to: explain the structure and principles involved in financing film production; provide a background to investing in films; give a clear explanation of the various tax-based film financing products available; explain the regulatory and accounting aspects; and to review the possibilities of change in fiscal regulation.
For further information on the conference telephone: +44 (0) 1627 518120.
