ITV Freezes Pay For 2010

ITV plc has imposed a pay freeze on staff for 2010 despite rumours of a massive pay package for incoming Chief Executive, Adam Crozier.
Whilst ITV staff will be downcast by the company's apparent continued embrace of the 'fat cat' culture at board level, the pay standstill is likely to be softened by the announcement of a staff bonus in the Spring. The company is on course to meet some of its financial targets.
ITV staff have also received the equivalent of £340 in company shares.
David Beevers, Supervisory Offical commented: "There is no victory on staff pay at ITV this year. A bonus is all well and good but the fact that it is not consolidated means that there is no lasting reward for staff efforts; we believe that lasting reward continues to be relevant for our members, even in a recession."
