Future Film's Stocks To Raise £5m
The film finance and production group, Future Film is to be floated on the stock market later this month.
It is also to get a new chairman before it joins AIM - the London Stock Exchange's international market for smaller growing companies.
Future Film organises financing for film and TV productions and has offices in London and California.
The company receives fees for services provided and it minimises the risk related to the performance of the film.
Film Future said that it has raised more than £2bn for over 120 films in the past nine years and there are plans to expand in Australia, South Africa and Spain.
Just before Christmas the company launched a joint film fund with Canadian company Mediabiz International. The money raised was expected to reach $133m.
Future Film is involved in new online film channel Projector.tv and owns production facilities in London, which were used to produce the recent Sherlock Holmes film and television series such as Spooks.
Other projects it has backed include Manolete, staring Penelope Cruz, and 50 Dead Men Walking, with Sir Ben Kingsley.
It plans to raise £5 million in its float, which is being organised by Arbuthnot and will value the entire business at £15 million.
Future Film is currently 93%-owned by Chief Executive Stephen Margolis, a lawyer who founded the group in 2000 and who will stay on in that position after the new Chairman, Sir Colin Chandler who chaired easyJet for more than seven years, takes up his new post.
