BAL Broadcast Develops The Event Toolkit

News Image
On site events are one of the most demanding and technically challenging environments, the unexpected always happens and you are often caught in difficult to access or remote sites.
As with all location events that rely on flyaway kits and OB vans, it is often the little things that are overlooked.
How many times has the engineer found themselves needing that additional piece of equipment to solve those irritating glitches, like signal hum, video/audio delay, and incompatible interfaces?
The BAL Toolkit has an extensive array of products including splitters, distribution amps, format converters and isolation transformers to name just a few of these must have items.
The range includes the usual mix of distribution amplifiers, analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue format converters, audio embedders/de-embedders, fibre optic converters, etc.
However, to assist in difficult or those often non standard requirements, BALBOXES are available that can assist and are a useful addition to the toolkit.
For example units are available that allow the engineer to transmit and receive serial data or GPI signals across the SDI stream, or display up to four SDI sources on a single monitor.
"At BAL Broadcast we try to anticipate those needs and have developed a range of products ideal for both studio and location solutions. The Passive Component Toolkit products are small, rugged, and easily connected for the most compacted spaces," said a spokesman.
