Projector Wins Trophées At Siel & Satis

The F10 AS3D active stereoscopic 3D projector from Norwegian projector manufacturer projectiondesign has won the Trophées 2009 Siel & Satis award for the 'event' category.
The prestigious award was presented to Thierry Olivier, Sales Manager at projectiondesign at Siel & Satis which took place between October 20 and 22 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, France. Each year Siel & Satis recognise the best of the best innovative technology in the professional live events and audio visual communications industry.
In the evaluation process, awards organiser, Stephan Faudeux noted: "Our panel of judges thought that projectiondesign's F10 AS3D projector stood out from the crowd in terms of innovation due to its active stereoscopic capabilities and usability."
Excited about the prestigious award win, Thierry Olivier said: "The F10 AS3D projector represents the fast and expected growth in 3D visualisation both in professional and consumer markets.
"Already after the show, we have received many requests from the staging and rental markets for a projector that easily switches between classic 2D and advanced 3D applications.
"Winning this award is testament to projectiondesign's continued focus on developing technologies to provide professional users the best available active stereoscopic display and has wide appeal in immersive simulation and visualisation, as well as as museums and leisure venues and video, film production and VFX creation," he said.
Introduced into the market in 2008, the F10 AS3D active stereoscopic projector is revolutionary in the way it enables full 3D stereoscopic visualisation from a small, single lens chassis, and at full 120 Hz refresh rates commonly used in stereoscopic systems. It displays full Dual Head 3D stereoscopic content from a wide variety of digital or analogue computer sources.
It's the first projector to use the new DLP link/White Light shutter glass synchronisation technology for higher perceived brightness and improved image quality. What's more, it's fully 1080p compatible and produces bright, highly accurate images, all from a single unit.
