About Crash Mats for Hire
Any company that employs personnel to work at height in any place, including a place at or below ground level, is required by law to abide by The Health and Safety Working at Height Regulations Act 2005 and The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Safety crash mats can prevent serious injuries to employees from falls as low as ground level to many metres high. Every company’s situation to require a crash or safety mat can vary for many different reasons.
We recommend that any company that employs personnel to work at a height of one metre or higher makes it compulsory to provide there employees with crash mats as a safety landing rig.
If you do not provide the correct safety for your employees, in the event of a serious accident such as a head injury, paralysis or loss of life, the consequences for your company are extremely serious.
Compensation will need to be paid to your employees, which could run into millions of pounds, and your company insurance will not pay out due to health and safety negligence. This could cause your company to go into administration. The Health and Safety Executive will investigate the accident and may take further court action with huge fines and prosecutions for those people responsible.
All of our multi-purpose crash mats come with a one-year safety inspection and are guaranteed to significantly reduce the risk of injuries in the event of a fall.
Our professional safety advisors at Crash Mats For Hire have been providing expert advice to our clients for over 20 years.

WHEN DOES YOUR COMPANY NEED A SAFETY CRASH MAT?
Any company that employs personal to work at height in any place, including a place at or below ground level, is required to provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees. (Health and Safety at Work Act 1974).
Every company’s situation and reason to require a crash or safety mat can vary for many different reasons.
Safety mats may be required to prevent injuries to employees from falls at ground level or as low as 1 foot high from the ground. This may be because the weather conditions or working environment is partial to slips, trips and falls. Or the surrounding area is particularly hazardous to work in.
We recommend that any company that employs personal to work at a height of 1 metre or higher make it compulsory to provide there employees with a safety landing rig such as a crash mat if a handrail is not in place.
This includes, but is not limited to, professions such as:
Unloading and loading a vehicle
Roof workers
Tower climbing
Solar panel and glass/glazing installation
Telecommunications maintenance
Window cleaning
Gutter cleaning
Putting up displays
Excavating
Shelf stacking
Machine maintenance
Regulation 5 of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 states that employers must ensure all employees engaged in any work at height activity must be competent to do so.
