The National Film & Television School

Educating the best creative talent to the highest professional standard for tomorrow's screen industries. Frequently described as the best film school in the world, the NFTS is one of the only film schools to have its own film and television studios and post-production facilities rivalling those of professional companies including a fully 4K ready TV Studio, state-of-the-art dubbing theatres and editing suites and two cinemas. Its talented community of students makes around a hundred films a year on courses that are still over 90% practical and unlike anything offered at any other film school.

The NFTS attracts the best filmmakers from across the globe to deliver masterclasses - recent sessions have included Danny Boyle, Sir David Attenborough, Lynne Ramsay, Denis Villeneuve, Sally Wainwright, Sir Kenneth Branagh, Werner Herzog, Clio Barnard and David Yates.

Courses
The NFTS runs more behind the camera courses than any other film school in the world. For the past 40 years the School has run courses which produce graduates who have gone onto phenomenal success in the film, television and new media industries.

Fees & Funding
The NFTS awards more scholarships and bursaries to British students than almost any other educational institution in the UK. The NFTS also welcomes EU/EEA Students with similar rates as our UK students.

Awards & Successes
Not only do our credits tell the story, but so do the thousands of awards, nominations and festival selections won by our alumni and students. Our graduates and students have won a fantastic 132 BAFTAs and 10 Oscars and the School itself was recognised with the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema BAFTA in 2018!
