Artemis Workshops In The IBC Training Zone - Sachtler At IBC 2009

With its Go Local programme, the Vitec Group is increasingly focussing on participation in regional events and workshops, while limiting activities at the larger exhibitions, in order to gain proximity to users.
In keeping with this idea, Sachtler, a Vitec Group brand, remains active in the Training Zone at this year's IBC. Camera support products like the new Cine 7+7 HD fluid head, the FSB-Range and the Reporter 8LEDim on-camera light are on hand for testing. In addition, orientation for newcomers who need help using the camera balance systems is being offered.
Sachtler's camera stabilising system artemis HD has its own 16-square-meter area in the IBC Training Zone where visitors can familiarise themselves with the equipment "hands on" at any time. Beginners and professionals alike can find out about all the features and trends and experience them live as well. As Curt O Schaller, artemis developer and operator, says: "Just put the vest on and then we can begin!"
In cooperation with IBC, Sachtler also offers a one-hour orientation workshop to introduce newcomers to the world of the balance systems. Curt O Schaller presents the new artemis Special Edition EFP HD SE in detail and shows how its special features can be used for everyday film production. He answers any questions visitors might have and encourages them to test all facets of the system. The product focus is on the artemis EFP HD SE, which has been equipped with new features like HOT SWAP technology, which provides for a continual power supply while changing batteries. The artemis EFP HD SE also has a special HiCAP outlet to provide power to the RED ONE camera and modern HD cameras. This outlet guarantees a substantially lower power loss and with it longer battery performance which means more filming time.
Just like the artemis EFP HD SE, the new Cine 7+7 fluid head proves perfectly suited for all modern HD cameras, whether for digital cinematography or documentary filming. All the new Sactler products relating to (H)DV, news, film, lighting are on display in the IBC Training Zone, available to visitors for any amount of hands-on testing. Visitors to the exhibition are invited to talk to members of the sales force, product management and marketing at the Vitec Service Point (Stand 9.D28). Additional Go Local events are planned for August and September to take place in China, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovakia and Macedonia.
