VMI Hold 35mm Adapters And Budget Cinematography Day

VMI are hosting an open day in Soho on September 30 to show clients the range of 35mm adapter kits now available to hire from VMI.
It used to be that you only had a choice of the P+S Technic Pro 35, but this has been increased with the Letus Ultimate (the greatly improved version of the Letus Extreme), the P+S Technic Mini-35, the Movietube and others.
VMI have spent the last six months appraising all of the 35mm adapters to offer the 35mm 'film look' at a credit crunch busting hire rate.
After a lot of searching, VMI finally decided on the Letus Ultimate and bought several kits with new Zeiss ZF Distagon/Planar kits to bring the 35mm look within reach of the independent film maker and this event will allow visitors to see these in action and appraise their performance for themselves.
The emphasis of the event is to show visitors that the '35mm film look' is now available to all budgets including modest budgets and with very good effect.
On display will be various cameras including the Sony EX-3, Sony HVR-Z5 and Panasonic HVX-201, as well as larger cameras, including the Panasonic HPX-500 and HPX-300 plus others.
Lenses on display will include combinations of Letus Ultimate, Movietube, Pro35 and mini-35 with ZF Distagon and Nikon Stills Lenses and motion picture lenses by Cooke and Zeiss.
VMI will also be showing the 1/2" to 2/3" adapter connected to a Sony EX-3 camera with a full cine-style kit with Canon cine-style HD zoom lenses. As usual, entrance is free of charge, but you must apply for timed tickets in advance.
