ITN Source Signs Deal With ITV Global Entertainment
Provider of moving footage, ITN Source, has signed an exclusive international programme clip archive representation deal with ITV Global Entertainment, adding tens of thousands of hours of classic television and film clip content to its collection.
The agreement enables ITN Source to licence ITV clips to its professional customer base including programme makers, filmmakers, education publishers and advertising agencies.
ITN Source already represents Granada, Survival and LWT collections for ITV Global Entertainment.
The new agreement extends rights to ITN Source to sell programme clips from all TV and film archive collections owned by ITV Global Entertainment, including Carlton, Central, ITC, 12 Yard and HTV.
This includes classic programmes such as The Prisoner, The Saint, Thunderbirds, Spitting Image and Inspector Morse as well as recent hits such as Marple, Hell's Kitchen and I'm a Celebrity...
ITV Global Entertainment is the owner of the world's largest British feature-film library, incorporating the Rank, Rohauer, Romulus, Korda and ITC libraries.
Under the new arrangement ITN Source will sell clips from the classic film library, which dates back to 1922 and comprises of more than 1,500 titles.
The critically acclaimed collection features iconic stars including Richard Burton, Vivien Leigh, Sophia Loren and Laurence Olivier, directed by legends such as David Lean, Alfred Hitchcock and Powell and Pressburger.
Tobi de Graff, Global Director, International TV Distribution from ITV Global Entertainment, said: "ITN Source is an international power-house for short-clip distribution.
"We're pleased to be announcing this extended relationship with the company, in bringing the very best clips from ITV Global Entertainment to broadcasters and producers worldwide."
Ian CheeWah, Managing Director of ITN Source, North America, added: "The addition of the ITV collection to our existing one million hours of video enhances our vast entertainment archive.
"It also gives ITN Source the ability to provide compelling movie content across the full spectrum of media from traditional broadcast and film to advertising, digital media and the internet for the very first time, making us the number one choice for all professional footage needs."
