Off The Fence Leads China's Elephants To Animal Planet

Independent production and distribution company Off the Fence Productions (OTF) has been commissioned by Animal Planet to produce China's Last Elephants , a documentary highlighting the rare, graceful and majestic elephants of China.
Thousands of elephants once roamed the vast country, but today only 250 are left on the brink of extinction and hiding in the jungles of south-eastern China. China's Last Elephants explores the way in which these animals endure in this ancient and beautiful landscape.
The programme follows wildlife cameraman Richard Kirby as he films these animals for the first time in order to raise awareness about their tenuous survival.

China's Last Elephants is an Off the Fence production for Animal Planet. It is executive produced by Ellen Windemuth at Off the Fence and was commissioned by Patrick Keegan for Animal Planet.
China's Last Elephants is due to TX in the UK on July 5 2009 on Animal Planet at 9pm.
