Gefen Introduces 3G SDI Solutions At PALME

Through its locally based distributor, Galtech Systems LLC, Gefen presented its new 3G SDI solutions to attendees from all parts of the Middle East at PALME.
These were complemented by Gefen's newest innovations in wireless and fiber optics based high definition video extension.

Gefen showed its HDMI v1.3 to 3G-SDI Converter allowing a connection between a Blu-ray player, set-top box or gaming system and a 3G-SDI display for a seamless integration of diverse formats. The Gefen 3G-SDI to HDMI v1.3 Converter was also on hand, connecting a broadcast video source to a consumer HDMI display for an easy method of monitoring real-world quality and performance. Both support high definition resolutions at 1080p full HD with support for deep colour and other HDMI v1.3 features.
The GefenTV Wireless for HDMI 5Ghz Extender demonstrated how 1080p/24 hi-def video with 5.1 digital surround sound can be sent up to 30 metres in distance with no cables required. For no longer distances, Gefen's HDMI v1.3 Fiber IR Extender delivers 1080p full HD with deep colour up to 300 metres in distance using just one fiber optics cable.
With wide coverage throughout the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Quatar, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Bahrain and Yemen, Dubai-based Galtech services the entire region.
