PI-Digital Hosts Open Days

Digital media, lighting and solutions specialists, Projected Image Digital, is to host two informal open days next week - April 22 and 23 - at its west London training and demonstration space.
This offers visitors a chance to examine the latest products from this world close-up and in-depth, in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, with PI-Digital staff on hand to answer all questions.
Individuals and companies working in all areas of digital media and lighting are welcome to attend - and the event is particularly relevant to those interested in media servers, lighting consoles, projection systems, LED screens and digital lighting fixtures. The Open Days are a great opportunity for professionals industry-wide to get up to speed with the latest developments in this fast-moving and evolving technology.
Products on show will include the new Catalyst Lapcat - a fully portable package with all the power of the Catalyst digital media server contained in a 15 inch Mac Book Pro with solid state 128Gb hard drive. This runs Catalyst Lite software and all its features, comes complete with a DMX512 interface and is housed in a rugged Otterbox case.
A selection of the latest Catalyst Pro digital media servers will also be available to test drive - as featured on numerous current tours and major live events of all types. There will also be a wireless DMX demo from Swedish based market leaders, Wireless Solutions AB and representatives from ETC will be on-hand with demos of their Congo and Eos consoles - which are increasingly being partnered with Catalyst on theatre productions.
LED fixtures from Traxon, Element Labs - featuring their award winning VersaTUBE/VersaTILE/VersaPIXEL range - and Schnick Schnack systems will be on show, together with projection surfaces from Harkness Hall.
PI-Digital's David March, said: "There's a large and dynamic range of kit available to see and all our staff will be on hand with expertise and information relating to applications and all technical aspects."
The Open Days run 11am to 7pm both days and the PID demo space address is 58B Wellesley Park Road, Chiswick, London W4. The nearest tube is Gunnersbury on the District line and there's free adjacent parking after 12pm.
