Sports Commentary Video Writer To Get NAB Boost

A system for visually illustrating sports colour commentary is to be featured at the forthcoming NAB expo in Las Vegas.
The For-A Corporation of America will showcase the FVW-500HS HD/SD Video Writer (formerly named the MBP-100VW) at the Nevada show, (April 18-23, Booth SU3507). They say it is not only the perfect solution for visually illustrating sports color commentary, but also the FVW-500HS is said to be great for weather and news programs.

The FVW-500HS video writer (or telestrator) has a touch-screen monitor so users can draw and point with a finger over HD/SD-SDI video in real time.
It has pre-programmed lines shapes, circles, arrows, spotlights, numeric icons and can also be used for freehand drawing.
Properties like line thickness, color and edges can be altered with on-screen menus. In addition, it can display AVI animations and short movie clips.
Users can import their own Icons animations and video clips. The unit also has a TGA file to AVI file converter.
Operators can key the image 'to air' from the touch panel display. The unit can be set up with internal key or through a switcher keyer.
The FVW-500HS offers ease of use through its customizable buttons for often-used operations. The FVW-500HS features standard HD/SD input and output, and works with a variety of formats (1080/59.94i, 1080/50i, 720/59.94p, 720/50p, NTSC and PAL).
