Moog Appoints Source As New UK Distributor

Source Distribution has announced its appointment as the new distributor for the legendary Moog brand, covering the territories of the UK & Ireland. Effective immediately, Source will supply all Moog products to the market - including the Minimoog Voyager & Little Phatty keyboards, the Etherwave Theremin, the Moogerfoger effects processors and the innovative and multi-award winning Moog Guitar.
With one of the most iconic names in music, Moog's instruments have helped shape the sounds of every generation of musician since Bob Moog build his first Theremin with his father back in the 1950s. Always a pioneer, Moog is credited in particular with revolutionising the sound of 60s and 70s rock, with such musical luminaries as Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Frank Zappa relying on the distinctive Moog sound. Since then Moog products have graced performances across every modern musical genre - including Madonna, The Prodigy, Franz Ferdinand, Herbie Hancock, Daft Punk, The Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
The mark of a truly golden brand is longevity and Moog has achieved this accolade by continually evolving its product lines over a period of more than 50 years. Today, Moog is still regularly pioneering cutting-edge technology, amply demonstrated by the launch last year of the revolutionary and award-winning Moog Guitar. Developed in conjunction with Moog inventor Paul Vo, the Moog Guitar marries a premium quality AAAAA maple-topped instrument with Moog's custom electronics to give the guitarist unique sustain and mute effects, harmonic blending and resonant filtering. Early Moog Guitar adopters already include Joe Walsh, Lou Reed and Trent Reznor.
