Nexus Productions' RBG6 Box Clever For Becel

The gloves were off when award-winning directing duo RBG6 and Nexus took up the challenge of creating a boxing ring for some unusual pugilists!
The breakfast table was the unlikely location for this fight in which the mighty Becel Shot delivers a knock-out blow to high blood pressure by defeating the evil Salt Cellar in a single round.
Enjoying the ringside seats are everyday household items such as forks, jugs and sliced loaves that were brought to life in a magic combination of sound and stop-motion to cheer on our hero, Becel Shot.
All the items in the "audience" were specifically chosen to incorporate an interesting movement or sound and the commercial delivers enough of these to keep you watching several times over and still see something different every time, such as newspapers clapping with tea-cups and juice glasses high-fiving. The commercial was shot entirely in-camera, with the team setting a new benchmark for stop-frame animation of milk - a tricky operation!
But the biggest challenge, according to RGB6, was creating a boxing match where neither of the boxers have arms or legs - more than enough to raise the blood pressure and have you reaching for your Becel Shot!

RGB6 developed a documentary "collage" style of communicating these stories, working with a set-designer to create individual scenes that illustrate the story being told in voiceover. RGB6 are really pleased with the finished effect and are planning to expand this technique in future.
