JimJam Rolls Out To Asia For First Time

Global pre-school channel JimJam, the joint venture between HIT Entertainment and Chellomedia, is set to launch with a brand new feed on Singapore's StarHub TV in November.
The new broadcast deal will see JimJam available to Asian viewers for the first time.
Wayne Dunsford, General Manager of JimJam, said: "We are delighted to be launching JimJam in Singapore as a result of our deal with StarHub TV. Launching into the region is an important part of our global distribution strategy for JimJam and we look forward to working with StarHub TV to nurture JimJam's growth in Singapore."
Ms Ong Bee Lian, StarHub's Head of Pay TV & Entertainment, said: "We are pleased that JimJam has selected StarHub as its preferred pay TV operator in Singapore. The launch of JimJam provides another quality choice for our customers and I am sure local families, especially those with young children, will be thrilled to hear of the addition of this new pre-school channel to StarHub TV."
JimJam is now available to cable operators through four feeds - Asia, Italy, Pan Europe and the Middle East. Since the joint venture partners joined forces in December 2007, JimJam is one of the fastest growing channels, rolling out in over 20 territories with further launches scheduled for this year and early in the New Year.
Ideally suited for children aged between one and six, JimJam delivers a rich mix of programming which is designed to engage, educate and provide a safe and trusted viewing environment for young children.
The channel features some of the world's most beloved and trusted shows including 'Thomas & Friends', 'Bob The Builder', 'Barney & Friends', 'Fireman Sam', Angelina Ballerina', 'Kipper', 'Igloo-Gloo', 'Pingu', 'Oswald', 'Rubbadubbers' and the recently acquired 'Gazoon'.
JimJam offers an enchanting and lively programming mix of the world's favourite animations, sing-along-fun with costume "song and dance" series, captivating story-telling, puppets and claymation. The channel also stimulates young minds by way of recurring learning blocks concentrating on colours, numbers and shapes.
