HD Specifications Raised By Bold Media

One of Germany's foremost providers of rental and staging equipment for presentation and broadcast production, Bold Media Studiotechnik GmbH, has standardised on Snell & Wilcox Kahuna SD/HD multiformat production switchers to meet its customers' demanding technical requirements for complex, high-definition (HD) presentations.
The multi-award-winning Kahuna is the world's first production switcher to offer simultaneous SD and HD operations in the same mainframe.
This makes it ideal for Bold MEDIA's customers, who are producing highly sophisticated, high-definition presentations that draw from a variety of SD and HD sources for audio and video.
The Kahuna provides a central, unified switching mechanism for multiple signals in different resolutions that need to be converted to HD for final projection. Prior to offering the Kahuna systems, Bold Media could only provide the same result with a combination of multiple converters, one for each content source.
