Cooke Optic's Intelligent Technology Cameras Now On Delivery

A company that works in both cinematographic and the ultra-high-end professional photography markets manufacturing precision lenses for the motion picture industry has announced that its iTechnology is this month available on all RED ONE cameras.
Cooke Optics Ltd's 'Intelligent' Technology enables PL-mounted film and digital cameras to automatically record key lens and camera data for every film frame, using i-equipped lenses, which can then be provided digitally to post production teams.
Since the RED ONE camera has built-in i-support via contacts in the RED camera lens mount for direct metadata capture, there is no need for an additional equipment interface.
The technology streamlines both production and post, saving significant time and costs and eliminating guesswork, whilst enabling greater creative freedom.
Les Zellan, Chairman, Cooke Optics, said: "We are delighted that i Technology is now live on the RED ONE.

He also said that recent films shot with Cooke lenses include 'Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor', 'No Country for Old Men', 'Live Free or Die Hard', 'The DaVinci Code', 'Transformers', 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban'.
