Dubbs Restores Mr Bean For HD

A specialist duplication, conversion and digital media facility, Dubbs, has announced that they have just completed the restoration for the original television series of 'Mr Bean' for Tiger Aspect as well as the work of re-mastering it to high definition.
Following Dubbs' recent restoration nomination at this year's Focal International Awards, for their work on The Jodorowsky Box Set, they have been taking on a number of restoration projects including this original television series of Mr Bean for Tiger Aspect.
Dubbs have used a combination of Archangel and MTI Correct to complete the restoration work before re-mastering to HDCAM SR via the Alchemist Platinum HD, having done a number of tests on the various up-conversion options available.
Eyeframe, Dubbs' award-winning digital media, were also involved in the process, bringing their Blu-ray experience to the project.
Eyeframe were one of the first three companies in the UK to start working on the Blu-ray technology and therefore were perfectly placed to advise on the restoration and mastering to HD in order to produce the best possible masters for future broadcast or Blu-ray releases.
Dubbs/Eyeframe have a number of other projects in the pipeline that will involve restoration from both film and video masters before completing the Blu-ray process.
