Kino Flo Adds Featherweight BarFly 400 Fixtures at IBC2008

Kino Flo Lighting Systems is demonstrating the newly minted BarFly 400, along with improvements to the BarFly 200 and 100 series fixtures for television news location and stage production lighting at IBC2008.
The BarFly softlights are small, cool, portable sources that can be held in your hand or mounted on light stands. They are designed for the rigors of location work, but adapt very well to small video and film studio configurations.
Frieder Hocheim, President and Founder of Kino Flo Lighting Systems, said: "We always planned to add this punchy four-lamp BarFly, but we needed to streamline the design and boost the electronics capability to make it ready for work on film and video sets."
The new True Match55 Watt QFL lamp lives in a narrow 2" deep aluminum fixture with built-in head extension and removable "twist-on" centre mounting plate. The BarFly 400 is as bright as a 1,000 watt tungsten soft light, while drawing only 2 amps of power on 230VAC.
The BarFly 400 also has several other features as well, including: built-in white reflector, removable gel frame and louver, centre and edge mount options, individual lamp control, HO/Standard Switching, flicker-free remote option.
