SSL Sells C100 HD Consoles To Chinese Broadcasters
Solid State Logic (SSL), a leading manufacturer of analogue and digital audio consoles and provider of creative tools for film, audio, video and broadcast professionals, has announced the sale of its C100 HD digital audio broadcast consoles to Beijing Television and Jiangsu Broadcasting, two of China's major national and regional broadcasters.
Beijing Television has an impressive new 1,000 square metre production and broadcast centre in northeast Beijing where a new 40 + 8 frame C100 HD digital broadcast console will be installed with SSL's 'Modular Resource Sharing Engine' (MORSE).
Specifically designed for use with SSL's C100 range, MORSE provides an extremely reliable, cost-effective and scalable system for the sharing of audio I/O and managing related control data in multi-studio broadcast facilities.
Jiangsu Broadcasting (JSBC), a division of Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation in Nanjing, is one of the top ten provincial TV stations in China and is near completion of a 36-storey production centre, expected to begin operation in June 2008. JSBC has purchased two SSP C100 HD-S - the slim line variant of the C100 HD - for installation in the new centre.
Solid State Logic's Area Sales Manager for South East Asia and China Anthony Gofton said: "The Chinese take tremendous pride in their achievements and it is a similar source of pride to us that our range of consoles continue to meet and exceed the exacting standards of Chinese broadcasters."
