Ross Expands openGear Product Offerings At NAB

Ross Video continues to expand openGear product offerings, complimenting existing distribution and conversion lines at NAB 2008.
New for 2008 is the addition of a 2RU 20-slot rack frame designed for high-density applications. Ross will also offer a suite of audio solutions including an HD/SD multi-definition, audio mux, demux and an AES audio switch.
A new analog video to digital converter, a range of 1x4/1x8 HD/SD SDI distribution amplifiers and a compliment of high processing applications including an HD/SD multi-definition keyer.
DashBoard has also been expanded with the addition of DB-VIEW, allowing customers the ability to create customised views of signal paths with signal path alarming.

The openGear terminal equipment platform is based on an open-architecture 2RU modular frame designed to accommodate up to 10 cards in the DFR-8310 frame and up to 20 cards in the DFR-8320 frame.
A wide variety of cards are available from terminal equipment vendors supporting the openGear platform, allowing facilities the freedom and flexibility to choose the best technology for their particular applications.
Customers are no longer locked into one manufacturer's frame standard and modules for their terminal equipment solutions.
openGear also provides the platform with a control system that allows quick and easy monitoring and control of frames and modules on the network.
