Russian network chooses Pinnacle

Pinnacle Systems, through their Eastern European partner, Qualitron, have installed two MediaStream 1600 servers at one of Russia’s principal national broadcasters, the RTR Network.
The mission-critical servers at the station’s Moscow headquarters each deliver up to 16 I/O channels, with expansion to hundreds possible with Pinnacle’s fibre channel networked configuration. This delivers on-line access to more than 3,000 hours of centralised storage and full integration with Pinnacle’s Liquid range of MPEG-editing technology. Paul Wilkins, Pinnacle’s general manager, network solutions group EAME,
said: “Pinnacle already enjoys a world-wide reputation for delivering cost-effective, cutting edge technology to broadcast businesses. Through Qualitron, our recognition by the Russian market is testament to our innovation and first class customer service as more broadcasters discover that Pinnacle is a great company with which to do business.”
