Booth Tackles Street Crime

Cherie Booth is to present Channel 4's forthcoming season of programmes on street crime.
The wife of former Prime Minister, Tony Blair, she will also lead a new Street Weapons Commission on behalf of the broadcaster.
She commented: "Like many others, I am deeply concerned that guns and knives are becoming a part of everyday life for young people in Britain.
"As Chair of the Street Weapons Commission, I am looking forward to speaking to the individuals and organisations across the UK who deal with this issue and its consequences every day."
Booth and her team - which has not been decided yet - will tour the UK to speak to people affected by street crime and then publish a report in June.
The associated TV programme, 'Truth About Street Weapons' season will feature five two-hour programmes and a peak time debate.
It will be a major feature of 4's spring and summer season.
Channel 4 Head Julian Bellamy said that the broadcasters peak-time share in March has "really stabilised" but the overall share at the moment is down 12% year on year.
Bellamy said: "The results of creative renewal are coming through on screen, there's been a huge increase in new programmes and more range."
