Animal Logic Migrates To Nuke

Software developer The Foundry has announced that digital production company Animal Logic has joined its rapidly growing Nuke customer list.
The award-winning visual effects company had been reviewing its existing Fusion/Shake pipeline and decided it would like to migrate to a single solution. Extensive product evaluations ensued with Nuke being selected as the solution that was the best fit for Animal Logic's VFX and animation pipeline.
Dr Bill Collis, CEO at The Foundry, said: "Animal Logic has long been a customer of The Foundry's and we are delighted they decided to adopt Nuke as such an integral part of their workflow. Nuke has come on in leaps and bounds over the last months, but there is still much to be done, and with Animal Logic joining us it adds another, very experienced, ear and voice to our research and development process, which can only serve to further improve Nukes evolution."
Xavier Desdoigts, Director of Technical Operations at Animal Logic, commented: "Nuke is so fast and efficient, the transition from 2D to 3D is really quite slick and we've not yet come across anything that has made it fall over. Although there is a learning curve, the prospect is more daunting than the actual task and everyone got up to speed fairly quickly without any major issues, so all in all the implementation of Nuke has so far, been a pretty smooth ride."
Animal Logic is one of the world's most highly respected digital production companies, producing award-winning design, animation and visual effects solutions for film, television and advertising. The company has a studio in Sydney, Australia and a production office in Los Angeles. Further information is available from: www.animallogic.com.
The Foundry is a leading innovator of visual effects and image processing technologies that boost productivity in motion picture and video post production.
