Cave Launches 'Loft Mastering'

Producer Mike Cave has expanded his private studio operation with the launch of Loft Mastering, a professional independent mastering facility that is already attracting projects from major artists and record labels.
Housed in the same building as Cave’s established recording facility, The Loft Studios, Loft Mastering offers a full mastering service covering CD, vinyl and DVD mastering, custom PQ and ISRC encoding, sound restoration, digital editing, secure FTP facilities and CD, vinyl and DVD duplication and manufacture.
With more than 15 years experience as a producer/engineer and, more recently, studio owner, Mike Cave is ideally placed to offer the high quality service that major artists and record labels demand.
Cave, who studied at the London College of Music, played in a number of bands before joining Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios in 1994 as an in-house recording and mastering engineer. He went freelance in 2000, and has subsequently built a strong reputation as a producer, engineer, mixer & programmer. His success has earned him a string of top ten albums/singles and numerous multi-platinum, gold and silver sales awards. Among the many artists Cave has worked with are Thea Gilmore, Dave McCabe (The Zutons), The Charlatans, The Coral, John Martyn and Echo And the Bunnymen.
Loft Mastering is equipped with a Digidesign Pro Tools HD 3 Accel up to 192kHz 5.1 Surround Sound; high end analogue EQ and compression/limiting including Vintage Neve, SSL, Focusrite, Avalon, TLA and DAV; Genelec and Yamaha monitoring and high end mastering software including plug-ins from TC Electronic, Pultec, Fairchild, Sony Oxford, URS, Focusrite, PSP, Universal Audio, Eventide, Crane Song, Bomb Factory, Serato, Soundtoys, Joe Meek, Digidesign, McDSP and Waves.
