'Moving Wallpaper' Rolls Out Second Series

ITV 'behind-the-scenes' comedy ‘Moving Wallpaper’ will return to the small screen for a second series - though a decision has not yet been made on its linked soap ‘Echo Beach’.
The shows, both written by Tony Jordan and produced by Kudos launched with five million viewers each in January but have since lost half their viewers.
Poor ratings prompted discussions between Jordan and ITV executives over the future of the shows, but ITV are keen to keep the show which chronicles the lives of the fictional production team working on the ‘Echo Beach’ soap.
An ITV spokeswoman said: “We’re delighted with the show’s performance. It has done exactly what it was meant to do in bringing different viewers to the channel.
“Echo Beach will most probably return, but not necessarily as it is now. It won’t be on the Internet. The two shows are interlinked, so ITV would still want to continue with it.”
Discussions are continuing as to whether scandalous Royal drama ‘The Palace’ and ‘Honest’ a comic look at the unscrupulous antics of a crime loving family will return.
Both shows have helped boost ITV1’s profile among 16-34 year olds by 15% in Fridays prime time slot.
