ON-AIR Systems Appoints New Sales Director

On the back of strong sales over the last year, channel-in-a-box playout provider ON-AIR Systems has appointed broadcast industry veteran Tim Rawlings as its Sales Director.
Rawlings joins from Quantel, where he was director of sales for Africa, Eastern Europe, India, and the Middle East.
Rawlings has re-joined the fold at ON-AIR Systems, where he was regional sales manager from 2005 to 2006. His role is to help the company establish a solid worldwide dealer network and drive sales across its core EMEA and Asia Pacific territories. He says: “I’ve been watching ON-AIR’s progress with great interest over the last couple of years, and have been very impressed with their new management team, streamlined product range and high profile sales successes. They’re definitely going places and when the opportunity came up, I had to grab it with both hands.”
Mark Errington, Managing Director at ON-AIR Systems, said: “Tim has vast experience in the broadcast industry, fully understands the ON-AIR proposition commercially and technically, and has particular expertise in establishing and managing a worldwide dealer network. The time is now right for us to up the ante as a company, and with Tim heading up this sales drive, we’re confident we’ll go from strength to strength.”
Rawlings has over 25 years’ experience in the broadcast industry. Before Quantel and his last spell at ON-AIR Systems, he was General Manager for JVC Professional Europe in the Middle East and Africa for six years, Deputy Managing Director of FOR-A in the UK for two years, Chief Engineer at London Post Group, Technical Director at Mar-Com Systems Group, and Technical Director at Metro Video.
