NewBay Media Appoint Editor-in Chief

NewBay Media has announced the appointment of Deborah D. McAdams as Editor-in-Chief of Television Broadcast (TVB).
McAdams replaces Peter Caranicas, who will continue as a freelance writer for NewBay Media's stable of entertainment and technology magazines.
"Deborah is a respected and accomplished journalist whose energy and style will make an immediate impact on TVB," said Carmel King, Executive Vice President of NewBay Media's Video/Broadcast Division. "We're very happy to add her to our team."
Most recently, McAdams was a senior telecom editor for FierceMarkets, a B2B e-media company. Prior to that, she was managing editor of TV Technology. She has also held reporting and editing positions at CableFAX Daily and Broadcasting & Cable during her 12-year career in the television and cable media industries.
McAdams areas of expertise include media legislation and regulations, multichannel video programming, Internet protocol voice and video applications, and other emerging communications and media technologies. She has appeared on CNN and C-Span, and consulted various research organizations and executive teams on the US television market.
