Sony Unveils MVS-8000G Series Of Production Switchers

IBC saw the unveiling of the latest addition to the highly successful MVS-8000 series of multi-format production switchers.
With over 1,300 MVS family switchers currently delivered worldwide the system is in daily use in TV studios and OB vehicles.
The new MVS-8000G and MVS-8000GSF processors offer new hardware features but still retain the well proven control panel and effects units from the previous generation units. For the first time optional SD/HD converters can be configured inside the system and each keyer now includes a simple DME for basic picture in picture effects. This together with 1080/50P support ensures the MVS family is suitable for any production in any format.
Alongside the MVS-8000G Sony showed the MFS-2000 multi-format production switcher configured with the unique plug-in editor application, the versatile DFS-800 entry level production switcher and a router area which highlights new router control panels to work together with the IXS-6000 matrix series.
